Field safety rules
🧐 FIELD INSPECTIONS
Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. Before letting your dog off-lead in our secure, enclosed dog park near Barrow upon Humber, please take a moment to inspect the field and ensure it’s suitable for your pup’s needs.
Our secure area fence is 1.8 meters high with 10x5 cm rectangular mesh — designed to keep dogs safe and secure inside.
Our enclosed area fence is 1.2M high lining a 3M Hawthorn Hedge.
If you’re unsure whether your dog will stay safely within the field, please keep them on a lead.
Not confident? No problem! Contact us for a full refund — your peace of mind matters most. Safety always starts at the gate.
🚙. ENTERING & LEAVING SAFELY
-
Keep dogs on a lead until inside the field with the gate fully closed and locked.
-
Your booking slot includes unloading, playtime, and re-loading, so please plan your visit accordingly.
-
Wait for the previous visitor to fully exit the field before you enter.
-
Always close and lock the gate immediately upon entering and leaving to maintain security.
🦮 Dog Behaviour & Reactions
We welcome all dogs, but even the best-behaved pups can have a wobbly moment.
Wildlife and Visibility in the Woodland Area -
As this is a natural woodland and Christmas tree plantation environment, there may be wildlife present within the field, including deer, squirrels and other small animals.
Their presence can be highly stimulating for dogs.
Visibility within the woodland area is reduced in places, and dogs may move out of sight of their owners.
If your dog is off lead outside of the secure ring, you must be fully confident in their reliable and immediate recall, even in the presence of wildlife or sudden distractions.
If you are unsure of your dog’s recall or ability to remain under control in this environment, they must remain on a lead.
Owners are responsible for maintaining control of their dogs at all times and for any actions taken by their dog, including chasing or disturbing wildlife, attempting to escape, or causing injury to themselves or others.

📅 Booking Terms & Conditions
Please review our full Booking Terms and Conditions on the website. By using the field, you agree to these rules, helping us maintain a safe, joyful experience for all visitors.
We can only accept bookings up to a max of 4 dogs & completely understand it’s not ideal if you have more than 4 dogs.
We really appreciate you understanding the planning rules 💚
Neither can we allow dogs to be left unattended in cars on site under any circumstances.
This is for their safety and wellbeing, and part of our responsibility as a licensed facility.
If you have more than 4 dogs, the safest option is to bring another handler so all dogs are supervised at all times — or, failing that, book separate visits.
Thanks so much for understanding — the dogs’ safety will always come first at Tails in the Trees 🐾
