FAQ & Useful Info

If you think Tails in the Trees is just another dog field, think again. This six-acre enclosed woodland offers a unique, peaceful space where your dog can truly be themselves. Many dog owners have questions about what makes this place special and how it works. Here’s everything you need to know, all in one place.
What is Tails in the Trees?
Tails in the Trees is a private hire space covering six acres of enclosed woodland and natural countryside. It’s designed exclusively for dogs and their owners who want a safe, quiet place for off-lead exercise and enrichment. Unlike typical dog parks, only one booking is allowed at a time, with up to four dogs per session. This means your dog has the whole area to themselves without distractions or stress from other dogs.
How many dogs can I bring?
You can bring up to 4 dogs per booking.
No dogs are to be left unsupervised in a vehicle.
How does the booking system work?
All visits must be pre-booked. Walk-ins are not accepted to maintain the exclusive, calm environment. Bookings are staggered with buffer times in between to avoid overlap and allow for cleaning and preparation. This system ensures your dog enjoys a peaceful session without crowds or noise.
What makes the space secure?
The entire six-acre area is fully enclosed with boundaries. The Grass Ring is securely fenced with 6-foot tall dog proof fencing. There is also a parking area inside the field, making it easy and safe to arrive and leave.
The whole area is designed for peace of mind, especially for dogs who need extra space or are nervous around others.
Can my dog use the agility and enrichment equipment?
Yes! The park includes a variety of agility and enrichment equipment to keep your dog mentally and physically stimulated. These features help build confidence and provide fun challenges in a natural setting. Whether your dog is a beginner or experienced with agility, there’s something for every level.
What kind of terrain can I expect?
The terrain is natural and varied, including grass, woodland paths, and some muddy patches. This mix offers a great sensory experience for dogs and mimics the kind of environment they would explore in the countryside. It’s perfect for dogs who love to sniff, dig, and roam freely.
Is Tails in the Trees suitable for nervous or reactive dogs?
Absolutely. The space is Yellow Dog friendly, meaning it welcomes dogs who need extra space or may react to other dogs. Because bookings are exclusive, your dog won’t face unexpected encounters. The quiet countryside setting also helps reduce stress and distractions.
What happens if it’s my first visit?
If it’s your first time, a team member will show you around the space to help you feel confident and comfortable. They will explain the rules, point out the facilities, and answer any questions you have. This introduction helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for both you and your dog.
